My pediatrician told me to wait and see what happens but I'm still concerned.  What should I do?
You know your child the best and if you feel something is not right, you are probably right.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance, however I provide the necessary billing codes and my business information on each invoice which then can be submitted to your insurance company as a "superbill" for reimbursement.  I advise you to call your insurance company ahead of time to see what is necessary for reimbursement from an "out of network provider".
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN EVALUATION AND CONSULTATION?
An evaluation is a multiple page document with various sections of in depth information including goals if services are necessary.  A consultation is a shortened version of a full evaluation report with observations and established goals regarding your child's feeding. I observe your child feeding during both an evaluation and consultation, however the evaluation is more in depth and typically recommended if your child has not seen another provider prior to seeing me.
DO YOUR BUNDLE SESSIONS EXPIRE?
When purchasing a bundle the sessions are good for one year from the date of purchase.
WOULD MY BABY BENEFIT FROM ORAL WORK BEFORE/AFTER LIP AND/OR TONGUE TIE RELEASE?
Yes is the short answer.  Prepping your child and the oral cavity and body prior to a release is very beneficial.  It is also helpful for me to see the mouth prior to a release in order to best gauge the progress once the release has been done.
WHEN SHOULD I INTRODUCE SOLIDS?
There are many signs that your baby should be demonstrating prior to starting solids: head control, core strength in the seated position, bringing fingers/hands/toys to mouth, looking at or reaching for your food and watching you eat, ability to tolerate sitting in a highchair for 5-10" at a time.
IS BABY LED WEANING (BLW) OR TRADITIONAL PUREE BETTER TO START WITH?
This is up to your and your family, however I like to promote a mixture of both.  Two wonderful websites and Instagram pages to follow for this are Solid Starts (@solidstarts) and Feeding Littles (@feedinglittles). Both sites provide great insight to starting solids with classes and free printables.
MY BABY WON'T PROGRESS PAST PUREE AND GAGS/CHOKES OFTEN, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Please contact me for a free phone consultation to discuss specifics including how long you have been feeding, do they gag with toys in their mouth, do they do ok with liquids, etc.
